September 2016 saw Master John Swift travel from Birmingham England to Seoul South Korea so as to meet up with his instructor Master Jason Wadley (VIII Degree) from USA and visit some of Taekwon-do’s highly esteemed legends & pioneers!
The week long trip included visiting historical sites Sam Il Park, Do San Park, monuments and tombs dedicated to Eui Am (Son Byong Hi) Great Admiral Yi Sun Sin (Choong Moo), Se Yong (the man who created the korean alphabet) as well as rocks calligraphied by general Choi Hong Hi and monuments he helped establish dedicated to the fallen soldiers from the North South conflicts
In addition, during the trip Grand Master Lee, Yoo Sun, Grand Master Kim, Yong Soo recognised Master Swift’s achievements & grade of 6th degree black belt through the ‘Home of International Taekwon-do’ foundation
