Manchester University Seminar

2016MARCH_johnswiftmanchester03The beginning of March saw Master John Swift travel to Manchester university and teach a 3hr creative kicking & technical seminar for the uni team and with over 40 turning out it really did not disappoint!

The session began with a gentle warm up and stretch, footwork drills and ‘set-up’ techniques to kicking, it quickly progressed to jumping and rotational elements including efficiency of movement when delivering multiple kicks in a combination to split kicks and trick kicks!

Member of ITF Union

ITF UnionAs an art Taekwondo is practised in virtually every country in the world and continues to grow, making it one of the most popular arts today!

With such growth, and of course developments in technology, the opportunity to train, visit and meet new people has become greater than ever. So to continue growth as well as create opportunities for his students and instructors John Swift has been recognised as a member of the International Taekwondo Federation Union (ITF Union)

New Zealand Seminar Success

December 2015 saw Master John Swift and his family fly literally round the world to deliver a seminar for the Blenheim WTF Olympic Taekwondo team in New Zealand! (and have a Christmas & New Year vacation)

The seminar was well received having covered varies taekwondo elements including footwork drills, body shift and alignment for striking as well as a practical close quarter combat self defence set that left participants in knots!

A particular big thank you goes to club instructor Master Moon as well as Mr Kevin Elsmore for being so accomodating and hosting the event!
